Detailed Analysis of Pictures taken in Portrait mode using Google camera..

Yesterday evening i installed Google camera version 5 which is the ported version of Google camera. I ran this camera on Asus zenfone 3 Oreo built. The results of The Portrait mode there I got was quite impressive.
I have put down the result of the analysis in the following video which you can watch it.
https://youtu.be/x_IJWcU2kYI

The Portrait effect on the Google camera app runs quite well on human face. On other objects the machine learning algorithm that Google camera uses does not yields much effective results.

However the result on the human face is always quite stunning.

With Portrait effect

Without Portrait effect

The Google camera machine learning algorithm very cleverly blurs out the background from the foreground and it's quite effective in doing so. But it it is not crazy perfect as I have heard from other people. It still needs improvements as I have pointed out in the video.

However The Portrait effect on the Google camera is clearly a beast in its performance.

Perfect Portrait image

The images of quiet stunning and mind exploding..! It's required a little bit of time to process but the end result is quite good.

Let me share some of the pictures took with it below... Enjoy !

Portrait mode in Google Camera running on Asus Zenfone 3..

How to install Google camera version 5 on Asus Zenfone 3.. ?
Read more and enjoy..!

The Portrait mode is quite amazing Google Camera feature and take some quite stunning Depth of field pictures even under artificial light. Google uses machine learning to separate what's in the foreground and the background. Based on that it blur the background and highlights the foreground pictures.
I managed to take some decent photos and I have compiled a video on that you can check it out below.
Check the video here : https://youtu.be/qYK2RJvEdQU

The link for the Google Camera will be in the description of the video..

After you install it go ahead and open Google camera. You can see the following options slow motion Panaroma,Photosphere, Lens Blur, Settings..

Go to the settings followed by 'Advanced' option and then turn on the Portrait mode.

Once the Portrait mode is on you will see the option of lens blur replaced by portrait mode.

Portrait mode is another name for depth of field. In Asus zenfone 3 stock camera the Portrait mode is known as depth of field. The depth of field also manages to take some decent shots under daylight. However under artificial light it requires some  time for the camera to get used to the conditions.
However the Portrait mode on the Google camera produces some stunning shots even under artificial light.
Google camera requires the support for RAW images. The Portrait mode in the Google camera does not work on the front camera of the Asus zenfone 3 because the Asus zenfone 3 front camera does not have support for RAW images. However the Portrait mode on the rear camera i.e the back camera is fully supported and the result i obtained was quite stunning. Even the stock Camera pictures were not anywhere close to it..
This method doesn't require rooting or other command oriented work of sudo or ADB to get Portrait mode working.
After each click the camera processes the image in the background and it finally shows you the processed image. You have the option to view the image with or without the Portrait effect applied to it.

I'll share with you some photos here. I hope you enjoy them.

Android P for Asus Zenfone 3..!

The alpha built of Android P may soon be out .Google is said to release its alpha built earliest by next month. Android P may come with native support for dark theme. This is a good news for users with OLED screen. It'll be a huge beneficial for OLED screen mobile users as this screen consume no battery at black screen. The pixels at black are always turned off. This in turn leads to less battery consumption and more hours of stand by time.
Android P may also prevent background apps from accessing the camera..!
Asus zenfone 3 may not get any official update for Android P as the device is already 2 years old. There is no news of Android P for from the Official source for zenfone 3 as of yet. But finger crossed for next year. Asus Zenfone 3 devices received Android O last month. This was quite a big surprise and treat to those Zenfone users.

Picture in Picture in Asus Zenfone 3 Oreo

I love the feature of a picture in picture in Android Oreo. My zenfone 3 is now running Android Oreo the update of which I received it last week. Update was quite smooth and has already brought positive changes to my phone in Asus zenfone 3.
Picture in picture is a floating window on top of another screen. You don't have to interrupt your normal Activity the screen can just be resized to a smaller window.
Check out the video link here : here

Asus Zenfone 3 Oreo has a Twin App feature !😀

I have been playing around my Zenfone and I have noticed a very cool feature that helps you to runs two same social media app at the same time.
Check out the video here : https://youtu.be/Imm0RJunvo8

But how useful is this feature ?
My personal experience is that I feel kind of bored with it.. I have seen this ability in previous lineageOS well. While maintaing two Facebook or WhatsApp account may sound cool but this behaviour also does shows the split personality that you portray about yourself in daily regular social media circle.
Life has become so frenzy that maintaining split personality actually makes you vulnerable to society mistreatment and it open doors to madness and chaos.🤣
While I personally avoid talking to people in online social media who find using abusive words easy, I also try to be genuine to all my online activity as my reality depends on this. 😙
However having two separate account in social media may be bad but it also seems to be a survival instinct for many.😁
I always avoid people online because many still do not really know how to maintain a friendly relationship online !😆

This are my personal thoughts and no copy or paste !

Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL gets an Android Oreo update !!

Asus has quietly starting rolling out the lastest update of android oreo for its Asus Zenfone 3 series in India.
The update was rolled out via OTA. I got the update and was quite excited to check it out.
The update file was 1.5 GB in size and this update will not erase your files and settings data.
The update brought with it a new UI change and i love it ! This is quite good interface compared to its nougat and marshmallow release. I love the new quick round-free icons. The quick settings icon is a combination of white and blue color  and this is defines the new look of its zenfone Oreo series.
The update was i received was OPR1.170623.WW_Phone-15.0410.1712.31-0.
My Asus Zenfone 3 is now running Android Oreo and the build is quite stable and smooth. I love the new Twin apps capability which it brings with it. Also the new feature Picture-in-Picture mode is quite a useful and handy feature.
